Rosie’s Bungalow Retreat Center is
located in historic uptown Marion,
IA, above “the cottage rose” a
quilt shop. The cottage rose has
been in business since 2001 and
has over 1800 bolts of quality
quilting fabric. There are many
samples in the store and more are
displayed in Rosie’s Bungalow.

The Bungalow is a quaint 6 room
apartment that is set up to
accommodate 7 people and has
sewing capabilities for the same.
The center overlooks a city park
for a beautiful view all year long.
There is a full kitchen facility for
those who want to bring there own
food to cook. The bathroom is
supplied with towels, washcloths
and soaps. Beds all have linen and
blankets, for comfortable
sleeping. All you need to bring is
your sewing machine, personal
supplies and the spirit to have fun
and relax.

Marion is a town with many
wonderful shops to visit, so plan on
staying a few days. There are
also several restaurants within
walking distance, for those who
hate to cook. If you want to hop
in the car there is a mall, several
more restaurants and 4 other
sewing centers or quilt shops within
5 miles of the shop. The area
definitely has a lot to offer.

out Rosie’s Bungalow. I am sure
you will be impressed with the
beautiful woodwork and warm
comfortable feel. Whether you
want to sew all night and day in
the sewing room, relax in the
sitting room or lounge in the
bedrooms you will always find the
comforts of home.

Cost for a quilting inspired retreat
is:
$35.00/ per person per day
(with a minimum guarantee of
$125.00 / day)
We will supply the coffee and
microwave popcorn, (not that you
can live on that, or can you?)
